2017 Rutgers Women's Leadership Conference

March 24, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

Please join us for the 6th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference hosted by the Rutgers Women’s Leadership Coalition and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. Admission is free, but space is limited. Attendees must RSVP at: wlc2017.eventbrite.com.
The 2017 conference, “Speak Up, Speak Out: Advocating for Yourself and Others,” will highlight tactics professional women use to raise their voices in high stakes environments. From storytelling in the Middle East, to grassroots community organizing, to voicing your ideas in the boardroom, this year’s conference will help you find your voice by providing tools and skills to advocate for yourself and others. Panelists will discuss threats to emergency services used by women and families in distress, while workshops will teach attendees how to navigate politically and socially diverse workplaces and how to organize for change.
Complimentary headshots will be provided during lunchtime. Donations of high efficiency laundry detergent for Dina’s Dwelling, a non-profit providing permanent, affordable housing to survivors of domestic violence and their families, are appreciated.
The day will conclude with a networking social from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at INC American Bar & Kitchen at 302 George Street. Complimentary appetizers will be provided.
